Arlin Carroll

CARROLL, Arlin - Of Flint, age 72, died Sunday, August 24, 2008 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 1PM Thursday, August 28, 2008 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Lawrence Gill officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family. Visitation 12PM-3PM and 5PM-8PM Wednesday and 11AM Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Arlin was born in Marmaduke, Arkansas on July 26, 1936, the son of the late Aurelious and Mattie (Jackson) Carroll. Arlin married Lula Vickroy on February 25, 1956 in Linden. He retired from General Motors in 1988 after 34 years of service. Mr. Carroll belonged to Swartz Creek Church of the Nazarene, loved sports, hunting, fishing, bowling, wood working, spending time and sharing stories with his family and spending time outside. Surviving are wife of 52 years, Lula; children, A. Duane (Debbie) Carroll, Tom (Kim) Carroll, Linda (Keith) Goodrich, Darrell Blakley; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; many nieces; nephews and cousins.
