Dear Lynn and Pat,
I just received my Carolina alumni magazine, which contained notice of Tip's death. I am so very sorry for your loss. You know you that your mother was one of my favorite people---she was so very, very real and genuine--a true individual. And she and your father reared the three children to be unique, strong personalities.
