Not sure what to say?

God saw you getting tired and weary, on December 10, 2008. The music may have stopped here on earth, but it started in heaven. Now you and Johnny can play your music again for Fernie while he gives you his famous "grin" and thumbs up. Little brother we will keep you in our hearts forever. Until we meet again, rest in peace, big sister Dora and family.

My dearest Mondo was not only my cousin but also as the Brown family is, he was a CSUF Bulldog devotee. We visited with Irene and Mondo at most of the games. I could always look up from where our family sits and see his smiling face. He always had a great big hug for me!! I will dearly miss my Mondo. I know you are still a Bulldog. You can share what's happening with the DOGS with another devotee your Tia Tita.
from your cousin Irma the one between you and Richard.

Armando, the 12 of us were cousins but brought up like brothers and sisters. Some of my happiest memories are of our lives at 1025 "I" Street in Brawley where our two families lived with our parents and our buelita, Maria de Refujio Aguirre. Then we moved to 428 D Street and you all moved to the ranch. As we grew older we went our separate ways but in our hearts we were close.

I will always miss you but I know you are in good company. I choose to believe that you are chatting with...

Ode To Mondo Aguirre

When I was 5 you held my hand
never thinking you would grow up and be in a band
up until I was 10 we took baths together
you always pretended to be drowning and made me cry
at 15 I stole your best friend John
at 21 I married him
first there was Jimmy and then Michael
and I had John and Kristina
you loved all of them and they called you Dad
the next 30 yrs we cried we laughed we loved
the day I said goodbye to you I held your...

God looked around His garden
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best. I will always remember your smiling face.

My Dearest Uncle Mondo,

I will remember the great memories going to your house and spending time with the family while growing up. You always greeted us with your strong, loving hugs that I will NEVER forget. Although I am still mourning your loss, I am at peace knowing you will be joining grandma, grandpa, my dad (Fernie), Uncle Johnny and numreous cousins. I will miss you so much. You will forever be in my heart. I love you!

The first time I met the Aguirre family was back in "66" when they were the Statons. When we would go to the practices I remember Johnning playing the organ and Armondo would always come to the garage to ask if Yolanda or I wanted something to eat. Of course we'd say no, but Armando wouldn't accept no for an answer. He always made sure we had plenty to eat or he'd get us chips, Mexican bread and or sodas. He was always a thoughtful and caring person and there were times their mother always...

Our condolences go out to the entire family. We were very sadden to hear of Mondos' passing. We all felt like a big family back in the day's when we were kids when we lived in the brown projects. Richard and Mondo were always competing to see who was the best in what they could be. Johnny was a little older then us but I also remember him as a big Brother. Yolanda was the little sister at the time..I remember her as the quiet one back then. May God watch over Your Mom, Fernie, Johnny...

We grew up on the westide went to St. Alphonsus and SJM. We had a lot of fond childhood memories. Mondo was a natural athlete and a talented musician. I doubt he ever learned to read music. He was a true friend when he let me take in some eguipment so I could get into the Rainbow Ballroom Free! Long Live the Statons! You will be missed!!!
