Arnie Morgan

ARNIE MORGAN DeMar A. "Arnie" Morgan, Jr. died unexpectedly but peacefully at home in his sleep on January 15, 2016 at age 61. Born to DeMar A. Morgan, Sr. and the late Donna Lou Archibald Morgan on February 25, 1954. Married Kathy Hulet 40 years ago in the Salt Lake Temple. Arnie graduated from Olympus High School in 1972 and served a mission in the Arizona Tempe mission. He attended the University of Utah. He was an Eagle scout. Arnie worked as an oilfield chemist and as an estimator for R.C. Willey for many years. Some of his best times were spent as the Santa for R.C. Willey and at Christmas parties. He was known for his amazing Santa suit, real Santa beard and love for the children who visited him. Arnie was a happy, funny person loved by all who knew him. He had a strong testimony of the gospel and the Savior. He served as counselor in four bishoprics and in many other callings. Our hearts are broken. Survived by his wife; sons Brett, Ryan and Daniel Porter; father DeMar Morgan, Sr., brothers Clay (Lisa) and Eric Morgan; sisters Marcia (Kurt) Higgins and Michele (Merrill) Brimhall and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Preceded in death by beloved mother, Donna Lou Morgan. Viewing Wednesday, January 20, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 700 East 7500 South, Midvale, Utah. Services Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the same address.
