Not sure what to say?

He was the best teacher I ever had - also a gent.

We met Chad in the early 70's, at a post-doc seminar at Brown University. He was then, and remained to the end, charming, engaging, amusing, thoughtful, well informed. Books, art, music, politics, philosophy, food -- all of it on the table: Chad was wonderful company. Whenever we drove north to see family, we would stop for an extra night to see Chad in New Haven along the way. We even visited at the cabin in Acra a couple times. Farewell, old friend. You meant a lot to us and we will miss...

I worked with Chad on the Board of the New Haven Preservation Trust. He was always the most charming of gentlemen. I looked forward to seeing him at our meetings. He will be missed. My condolences to his family and many friends.

I worked with Chad on the New Haven Preservation Trust Board, and Program Committee. He always had good ideas to share, and volunteered to help organize and plan programs for the community. He will be missed.

I volunteered with Chad on the NH Preservation Trust program committee for many years. We are all sorry for the loss of a good friend and insightful, cheerful planner and helper. Chad was a great guy and a most willing volunteer. He was smart, sometimes funny and always on board to help with most projects. His absence is already felt and we will miss him a great deal. My condolences to his family.

A good man and teacher. Most of all, Arnold was my family. He will be missed. Will always think of you when looking out at the meadow from the camp porch. The talks, walks up to the laurels in the Spring. The smelling of the lilacs as they come out.

You did very well in this life. Proud to have had you in mine.
