Not sure what to say?

Arny's impact on my life has been truly immeasurable. It was in 1994 that I joined his lab, and would be under his mentorship for 5 years. In my mind, Arny was a master teacher. I always remembered my first day at SU, Ms. Penny told me to follow the vibrant laughter to his office. There he was-- with eyes that smiled! I said, "Dr. Honig?" He said," Call me Arny." That was profound for me at the time. Shortly after the introductions, we went to the sub-basement and I met Wei, Fan, Dong and...

We were stunned to learn of the passing of such a larger than life gentleman who could expound on the laws of physics and subtleties of farming in the same conversation. Arny had so much warmth and character it seems impossible that a man with such a zest for life could leave - but maybe he didn't leave but can be found in all the people whose lives he has touched.
I'm just sorry we never built that hybrid car we planned to do in 1975.

His smile, his kindness, and his love in science will be remembered forever.

It is so sad to hear Prof. Honig left us.

I miss his big laugh, warm and loud voice as he walking along the hall in the basement of SU physics buliding. How could anyone who had worked in the basement (during 1991-1996) forgot his voice when he called his graduates: "Wei", or "Fan" or "Dong" ?

I still remember in the first week just after I came to SU in 1989, in the office on the 3rd floor, Honig came to the next office where Wei sit and said to him "You have to find...

Arny was a fine man. I am mostly struck by thoughts of his humanity, his kindness, and his willingness to listen to all points of view.

I know he loved his family, his colleagues, and his university. He didn't so much love administrators of which I was one. But, still in all, we were friends.

More than anything else, Arny taught me that the significance of one's accomplishments were not found in public acclaim but, rather, in the personal joy and satisfaction they...

Honig/Komar family, My thoughs and prayers are with the family in your time of loss.

It seems impossible to imagine Arny as absent...he is so full of life that even when he is away, his personality lingers, and bright thoughts and joyous temperament linger. We so looked forward to he and Dolly's visits to Higley. We are so sad, and thinking of you all...

I'll really miss, Arnie, as will all of you. Those hearty laughs, those jokes, those ideas, those good-spirited arguments, the songs, the smiles...
