Not sure what to say?

To Arnold's family. Didn't find out what happened until I "googled" his name. I had the privilege of meeting him several times as we bought his "get away" home in St. Catherine, IA in 1994. He continued to visit and call for several years as I think he lost a part of himself when he sold the place to us. What a great man he was and I consider it an honor to have met him.

I was sad to hear of the loss in your family. Dr. Wagner, Sr. was my doctor in Evanston many, many years ago ('60s) and I have never forgotten him. A wonderful and kind man. Saved my life a few times! I now live in Maryland but my brother in Glenview remembered him as my doctor. Prayers and blessings to all your family. (Lily Hixon - Maryland)

I will always remember Dr. Arnold Wagner as robust and full of life! I can still imagine hearing his booming voice commenting on something that "The Owl" has said or done with a glint in his eye and a smile on his face. And what a vocabulary he would incorporate. He was one-of-a-kind in the best way possible. I'm so sad, for you his family, to know that he and his sweetheart are no longer here. And yet, I know both your parents made such a positive impression on so many of us. I am thankfully...

Dear Ned and family. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your parents. Your Dad was a larger than life presence at Evanston Hospital, and will always be remembered. Blessings to you all. Sandy Nothegger

Dear Wagner Family,

Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of your parents. Having lost my own mother who was 95 years of age I think we were blessed to have had them in our lives for so many years.

I went to St. A's with Val and my brother Bob was a classmate of Ned's.

Ned: Please accept my sincerest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your father just days after losing your mother. I guess after so many years together, they just couldn't stand to be apart even for a few days. I remember your Dad when I was an intern on his service at Evanston. The words "larger-than-life character" are absolutely right-on in describing him. Even after all these years my memories of him are still vivid.

To my doctor, Dr Wagner Jr....I just wanted to express how sorry I am to hear about the passing of your parents. My sincere condolences to you and your family. After reading about them, I think how fortunate you are to have had them as parents! Again...Im so sorry.
