Not sure what to say?

My first coach at Central and was such a wonderful role model to have as I began coaching and teaching at CHS. Fond memories of Mr. Mac.

Oh yeah, that running back thing worked out ok. Worked my way up to start. Then the Varsity. Made first team All-Public full back as a senior. Played baseball, too, and was Class President. Got into Harvard. All immaterial to the value of knowing Mr. Mac.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Art spoke at my 50th high school reunion (Central) in 2010. The video, in two parts, is on youtube:

Thank you for your service to our country, and the longstanding pioneering and vital contributions that you made to the officiating profession, the NFL, and the game of football. Rest in peace, Sir.

A great loss. My best coach when I was a student at Central High School.
