Condolences to Art's family & friends. I was searching for his contact info when I found this obit. I believe he may have been related to my late aunt, Ruth Morley Ferguson. I've been trying to locate Ruth's daughter, Marilyn Ruth Ferguson, who had been living in a mobile home on Morley property in Ft. Bragg the last I heard. Art was a truly terrific and beyond generous fellow and friend, who will be sorely missed.

I worked with Art and Jean at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park between 1973 and 1985. We had many good days together. He was an ardent patrol ranger and could be found in the backcountry in a Jeep, on a motorcycle or on horseback. He taught us a lot about birding and began the Borrego Springs Christmas Bird Count, which continues to this day. Art has been missed here in Borrego since retirement.
