We only met her twice but was really empressed with her and amazed at her ability and determination at her age to drive the long distances she and her friend would take and enjoy. As you are well aware, we constantly enquired about her health and was extremely saddened to learn of her passing. She was a fighter and surviver, strong in strength and spirit. Our sympathy is with you and your family my good friend and may God be with you and bless you all in your hours of sorrow.

My sincerest condolences to the Brummell family.
I worked with Joe at the Housing Authority-city of Los Angeles. Joe is a good friend of mine, was, also my supervisor and a good one.

Deepest sympathy is extended to you and your family in the loss of your mother. Joe, I have thought of your family often, since the ice cream shop in Lexington closed in the early 50's. Having lost all contact, I was totally surprised to read the obituary in today's Lexington Herald-Leader Newspaper. Certainly had lots of smiles when recalling the New Year's Day dinner and the roast-piglet(apple-in-mouth)prepare d by your mother. May God bless you and your family richly.
