We all miss you Art sure miss your Concertina Bar and Music! No other place will ever compete with your Bar. Good memories in my pictures thank you for inviting Norman and I to your beautiful home had a great time and of course the polka bar you took us too also was a lot of fun. You are missed!

I met Art Back in 2000 at his Concertina Bar on 37th and Burnham in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My Mother Mary, my Uncle Paul, my Sister Christine, and my Auntie Jackie were there for Art's Christmas party. My Dziadzia (Grandpa in Polish) Sigmunt "Zigmund" Alexander Suchorski used to play Concertina with Art. I was saddened to hear that Art Passed Away. He was a Good kind Soul. I always Loved listening to his Polka Jam sessions. I wanted to learn how to play Concertina myself to Honor my Busia...

Art will be missed by my Family and myself he played at both my parents funeral's, Norman passed in 2018 and Angie passed in 1999. He was such a wonderful person; we loved his Monday Cheese Nights. One night he made us frozen cheese curds in the toaster oven boy were those good! It was so much fun dancing at Art's Concertina Bar always was packed full of Polka lovers. My sincere condolences to the tragic loss of Arthur. Alot of great memories of Arthur when I would correspond with him at the Ashley Bar & Ballroom in the Town of Knowlton, Marathon County, WI.,the former Reds Inn, Gail's Place (now Z's Place) in the Town of Guenther, in Marathon County, WI and at the former Johnny and Jimmy's Rangeline Inn in the Town of Dewey, Portage County, WI. Arthur Altenburg will be so fondly remembered as a lovely caring man. On my last day working Art surprised me at the bank with a concertina serenade. It was so special. He also gave me his cd Evening at the Concertina Bar. The Angels are enjoying his music today.
