Not sure what to say?

My sister, Stefanie would talk "horses" to me. One way or another your fathers' name would pop up as a grand contributor to the Sport of Kings. I remember our father telling how his shares of Gulfstream Park were sold/transfered to your father. What a proud tradition and a heritage has been left. Linda and Bill, Scarlett and I send our condolences to you and the entire Appleton family. We reflect on our past times together with much gratitude and joy.

My father worked for Appleton Electric for all of his adult life. He always told us what a wonderful man Mr Appleton was.
Mr. Appleton was always respected by my father because he always returned that respect to workers.

My first horse bet was way back in the Kentucky Derby when My Gallant ran. We know the results weren't what I hoped for but I never forgot the name of that horse!!!!

May God bless you in your time of sorrow.

Dear Deborah and Family,
I'm so glad I had the opportunity to email you in December and share with you the incredibly generous impact Mr. Appleton made on so many people and their families here in Chicago, through Appleton Electric. I hope you were able to pass that along to him at your visit at Christmastime.
My family and I extend our deepest sympathy to all of you on the loss of such a extraordinary man. It's the end of a wonderful era that I was blessed to be a part...

Linda: My deepest sympathy to you and the Appleton family. It was my privilage to work with Mr.Appleton at the museum. His presence has been and will be missed.

Dearest Linda et al,

I am saddened by the loss of your Dad. The tribute to this great man was heart warming to read in this morning’s Miami Herald. Your Dad's accomplishments are great both in business and personally.

As I read of his many accomplishments my mind wondered back to so many years ago when I met this man for the first time. It was on that day, one Sunday afternoon, so many years ago, that I was privileged to know the heart of this great man. With all the...
