I was excited to keep playing cribbage after a visit in Seattle and was lucky to meet Art upon my return. I had the honor of playing with the grand master of cribbage himself. He was very gracious and patient with me during our games. Art was a very kind person and I will miss him as a friend. I’m so glad the Euclid Senior Ctr gave us the opportunity to meet. My condolences to his family and other friends.

Great Uncle Art you will be missed. I know I just met you 12 years ago when your sister(my grandmother) passed away, but I loved getting to know you and your interest in light houses.And I also enjoyed getting the fabulous Christmas cards from you in pencil-that always made me smile. Art will be missed at Bob Evans. He was a classy guy who had "shirts older than you!" I always enjoyed seeing him and hearing warm stories of his Syracuse childhood. Rest In Peace dear friend.

Art was my neighbor across the street. He was a very kind person who left cold bottled water for the trash collector especially during hot Summer months when he drove up to Art's driveway. He was also religious as evidenced by the fact that he put signs on his lawn informing the neighbors of upcoming church events. A great conversationalist, he will be missed. Art often said that one of the best things that ever happened to him was that he had a heart attack and flat-lined 5 times. He considered it a turning point in his life. Art was an integral part of Senior Programs where he loved to open the door for all of the seniors who came to the center. He was a master cribbage player, who was happy to teach others the game.
