Not sure what to say?

I first met Dan when he would visit the High Bridge Elementary School. At the time the company he worked for sold maps and globes. Periodically, he would stop by. He quickly became a friend to the principal and janitor.

It was a great surprise, on our first visit to Lakota Wolf Preserve, to find out that he was the owner. We talked about "old times" in High Bridge.

Who would ever guess that the ownership of the preserve would to Jim Stein - the nephew of my best...

Dan was one-of-a-kind! He handmade works-of-art jewelry for me that are now family keepsakes. Artist, craftsman, naturalist, conservationist, a great spirit and a fine gentleman.
** Bob Nulman - former Clinton mayor **

I first met Dan many years ago when he would come to High Bridge Elementary School with maps. He quickly made friends with our principal and custodian. Several years later - I met him again unexpectedly when my family traveled to Lakota Wolf Preserve. Was awfully good to see him! Now the preserve is owned and run by a good friend's nephew, Jim Stein. The wolves are howling, Dan - saying good bye to a friend who helped them move to a better place!

We lost a dear friend and neighbor, but Dan can rest knowing that Pam will be supported in the arms of family and friends.

Pam, Bumper, Kim, Karen, Kathy and Holly, we are so sorry for your loss. Dan left a huge imprint on everyone he met and on those of us who have known him and loved him for many years. Our hearts are broken to learn of his passing. Mark and Sandy Rathborne

Peg, I'm so sorry to hear this sad news. Know I am thinking of you.....

My sincere condolence to the Bacon family for the loss of your beloved one. May the God of all comfort and peace strengthen you during this difficult time.

As we cry missing you, your wolves cried to greet you.

For you Dan, Cheryl Johanson

The Wolf Prayer

Follow me down the path
I will walk beside you.
Guiding you and showing you the way.
I will not leave you.
I will be standing on the path watching you
if you ever feel alone.
Close your eyes
you will see sets of six footprints.
Two belonging to you, four to me
Then you will know that I am with you.

Your buddy Bob Mohr
