Not sure what to say?

Dear Kay,

Even though we are far away in Mongolia, our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. We remember fondly the time that we had serving together at the Charleston, and just getting to know you and Art. We are saddened by the news of Art's passing. We send our love to you and your family. May the Lord be with you.

David and Nancy Gardner

I was so sad to hear of the passing of Brother Bailey. He was my bishop when I was a pre-teen living in NM. I later took a religion class from him at BYU. He was always so kind and I learned so much from him.

Art was a wonderful and generous man who always made me feel as if I was part of the family. He was kind to me and teased me to no end. I'll never forget my first outing with Art at the driving range. He grabbed hold of my hair as I stood over the ball and if/when I took my eye off the ball, he'd yank my hair. "You moved your head," he said. Great man. Great family.

Bro. Bailey is the first home teacher that I can remember coming to our house in Orem when I was young. I remember him challenging our family to learn the Articles of Faith, it was no easy task home teaching a family with 4 young boys! He'd follow up each month as we had to "pass them off" to him. It's amazing how a man, who I only knew when I was a young boy could have such a great influence on me...I've since tried to emulate the Articles of Faith lessons with the families that I visit....

My condolonces, many found memories from my association with Brother Bailey at Snow College. Joseph Bradley

Brother Bailey was a great example to me during my time at Snow College. He helped me learn about myself and helped me strengthen my testimony of the gospel and my Savior. He will be dearly missed.

Gordon and I send our sympathies you Kay and family. Doug Brinley, just advised us of Art's passing. What great memories we have of the short time we shared at the David O. McKay living center so many years ago.
Love,
Gordon & Karine
