Blessings, after a year has passed in losing your dear and talented loved one. Our families were neighbors in Roseland when we were grade school children, playing in the gang of kids after school and on summer days. I remember Artie as "so much older and wiser than me"... actually one year apart! I remember him talking proudly about his drums and hearing him play as we walked by his family´s home... Freshman year I went to Fenger / Curtis, and attended the Sunday night dances at Mendel,...

I still think about Art everyday since his untimely passing. The things I remember are the trips to Washington, Williamsburg, The Cottage, and the get togethers at 114TH and Union and Aunt Florence famous sour cream pancakes! I also remember the Heartsfield concert at Eastern Illinois University when I was there. Art was always so kind and considerate of “us” younger kids and made us feel so comfortable even though he was 3 years older than I am. The last time I spoke with Art was in 2004...

I´ve known Art my whole life. From the Wildcats, 8th grade graduation party, the Stepchildren, Heartsfield, Big Moose Gako and 13 roses - to playing with Eddie at my wedding reception.
