To the Baldwin clan-
I was so sorry to hear about the death of the patriarch of your wonderful and dear family. He was such a quiet, elegant and dignified man. Though it has been many years since I have seen any of you, and don't know most of you, your family has remained so special in my heart. It was my home away from home for so many years-I remember Hennie's butterfly kisses, and Jean's to-do list on the counter, and the dormitory and so many things that won't fit here. Time goes...

Baldwin Family, Sorry to hear about your Dad. I'll miss seeing him at the store. One of my last memories was going to his house with him where he gave me a letter for my Mom, written by her father, which he had saved for many years to give to her someday. I thought that was so cool. He really was a special guy. Rick

My condolences to the Baldwin family as you celebrate the life of Arthur Baldwin. I will always remember the kindness he showed to my grandmother, Edith Gaston, who worked as the bookkeeper at the hardware store. Even as a youngster, I remember his infectious smile and remember with fondness the special attention he paid to me when we stopped to bring Grandma home at the end of her work day. To the Baldwin Family,
I am so sorry for your loss of Junie.
I have the fondist memories of him form the time I was old enough to help my father in the Market (about 5) and he would send me to the Hardware store to pick up items. It was a big deal at the time and continued to be a big deal for me to stop by and talk with him throughout the years. Now when I come home for a visit I will miss hoping to run into him at the store for a short chat.
But I love chatting with the next...

I will miss seeing his smiling face in the post office each morning. Every day was a great day to him and his every response was positive. I always left him smiling and feeling good.

I also appreciated when he invited me to look at plans that he along with my grandfather had to rebuild the hardware store and the market in the same plaza. He was ahead of his time.

He shopped at the Market and got his milk card stamped each time he was in the store. The day before he died,...

Uncle Art and Aunt Jean always welcomed me at the farm. I have been visiting since I was very young and got to spend two summers there. It was wonderful to get to know my cousins and have a home away from home. I miss them both very much!

Dear friends,I remember so many acts of kindness that Arthur extended to me throughout all the years Gordon and I were in West Stockbridge. I will always remember him fondly. My thoughts are with you.

What a Blessing that he went so quickly, and what a Blessing that he was and is a part of me and my son. My mother, Elaine Baldwin, had the fondest memories of Junie as they grew up together in West Stockbridge. I am sorry for his passing, but grateful for his life. His infectious smile and gentle spirit will always be remembered...
