To the Barber and Strait Families I offer my deepest sympathy for the loss of Arthur James Barber. I was just thinking about the wonder person that he was but my having the opportunity to play baseball with him and the Fort Mill Giants at age 15-16 years as the Catcher! He was a very good pitcher with a wicked curve ball. It was an honor and privilege to play and catch for pitchers Loney Grier, E.J. Dixon and June Barber!! Rest in peace brother, and I wish you a peaceful journey...!!!
