Not sure what to say?

Artie and I met in Alleghany State Park ...when my Parents and my ssiter would vacation in the Park ....we were generally well behaved but got into trouble once cutting a tree near a power line ....Subsequently my Parents (we lived in Welland ,Ontario ) met up socially with Artie's family and his Grandma ...we were good friends for the time we lived close by ...but lost touch after we moved ....although late ....it saddens me to see people i knew pass on ...All my best to the family David

I still live in the house we built across the street from the Bascombs. The memories never stop--so many days, and years of living and growing and helping and laughing as our two families merged. Flowers and plants live on.

To the Bascomb family: I just heard the terrible news on the loss of a wonderful person, friend, husband, father to all of you. I am sorry for the loss and I pray that the fond memories of Art's life will keep you going during the tough days.

Rest in peace Artie. A hell uva a football college career. A handsome man too. You will be missed. God bless all your family and may he give you all his grace and peace during this difficult time.

Artie was two years old when we began to build our house across the street from the Bascombs. Diane and he were four days apart in age, and our families grew together through those years, and became very close. We have so many strong memories of playing and working and helping during many stages of life! Dear Jean, sincere condolences.

Sorry to hear about Artie's passing, my condolences. I played football with Artie in High School and college. He was a very great guy. I remember the spaghetti dinner he had for the football team at his mom's house on Grand Island.

My condolences to Artie''s family. One of my favorite childhood memories involved Artie: he took me for a long ride on his horse...the only time I ever rode a horse without someone else holding the reins and leading me around for 15 minutes. He was a very nice kid and sounds like he grew into a fabulous man. Not surprising. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.

Dear Jean- I was so very sorry to hear of the passing of my very good friend. I thank God I had the opportunity to talk to Art the day before he passed. Even when he was fighting his own battles he was concerned about the health of my son, his godson Patrick. Art was my good friend for 50 years. I will always remember the many
great times together especially St. Patrick's Day. I also had the honor of working with Art for 20 years at Unisource. My deepest sympathy to Amy, Laura and...

Art was a brilliant man with a rugged exterior that belied a heart of gold. He was a major influence on my career as well as plenty of others, an invaluable friend and resource through the years and across the miles.

Godspeed, Art, you will be present forever in the hearts of many. Our most sincere condolences to your family for an unfathomable loss.
