Not sure what to say?

Fritz always treated me as an equal, even though I was over 15 years younger, and was especially supportive during my year as president. I will pray for his soul and family.

I met Fritz when I was a young, hard charging engineer in Dallas-Fort Worth. I would stumble onto some difficult paving problems and call Fritz for help. He never asked me for anything, he just cleared his desk and spent all the time necessary to help me solve the problem. After we moved to California, I still called him from time to time to ask for help. He was always happy to hear from me and happy to help all he could. I didn't know all the things about him that you listed in his...

Fritz was a friend, a colleague and a mentor. I hope to pay forward all of the kindness and generosity that Fritz showed to me.

I have never met many people that I considered to be friend worthy without spending some time to get to know them. I found Fritz Beck to be an exception to this, however. I immediately recognized him to be genuine and someone I would like to have as a friend. In the many years I knew Fritz, my immediate impression never changed except to grow even stronger. I consider knowing him and having him as a friend to be one of the great honors of my life.

Fritz will be sorely missed by...

I was sad to hear of Fritz’s passing. I believe I first met him in the early 80’s while I was an E.I.T. at the City of Garland. My thoughts on Fritz are as follows:

Arthur "Fritz" Beck was an Adjunct Professor at SMU for the College of Engineering, Civil Engineering Department. Fritz was also Professor for the Senior Engineering Class Projects that we / Dallas County together with AECOM worked with the students on. It was a pretty stiff competition between the talented Senior...

Fritz was an example for us all. Consummate professional and always a pleasure to be around. The profession, and the world, was better because of him. May comfort and peace be with the family, knowing his was a life well-lived.

Saddened at your loss. Fritz was a fine man and honored colleague. Honored to know and work with him.

My condolences! He was a mentor to me
