Arthur Beiser

To the Beiser Family- Deepest condolences to you all. Dr. Beiser´s text books will continue to be read and loved around the world. I discovered `Concepts of Modern Physics´ through a friend at my women´s college in India ( Government College for Women, Trivandrum, Kerala) back in 1982 and there hasn´t been a year when I haven´t picked it up again. The friend left physics soon after, but each time I pick up the book I remember her and the influence that Dr Beiser´s book has had on my life....

dear germaine so sorry to read of arthur's passing. you may not remember the last time we met over a very convivial dinner in bandol with my old friend michael jones, our first meeting in helsinki when you were taking delivery of your new swan 48 and many happy meetings in between. with all good wishes jeremy

So sad to hear that my friend is no longer with us. I learned so much from him in my early days as a professional sailor. My thoughts are with Germaine and their daughters
