Not sure what to say?

Heard him give a philosophy talk in San Francisco-brilliant!

Art´s cackling gleeful laughter & Kathleen´s melodic belly laughs can still echo in my heart & mind. I miss them so. Re-reading the obit, Arturo seems to have truly lived 9 or 10 lives! His feline to "Kat´s" canine ( Art´s pet name for my lifelong mentor, friend & fellow poet) Dr. Bierman left legions of legacies! God bless him, K, David, Megan, Ben & the whole extended family Must read a book of his now to catch up & hold close by June 3rd

Had the fortunate pleasure of meeting both Arturo and Kathleen in Rome as their real estate agent helping to find clients to rent their property. They always helped me and made me feel important to them. filled with sadness to hear of their passing. RIP and sweet dreams to you both.

dear Megan, we tried to call Arthur tonight ( from Germany/ Berlin) for his birthday to-morrow and could not join either him nor you. We then read in Internet that he passed away last june and are so sad, He was a very impressive person and thinker and we loved meeting such a friend through the years and have so much intellect and humour at the same time! We first met Arthur and Kathleen at friends in Istanbul in the mid-eighties and met every year afterwards in San Francisco, Berlin, Rom,...

Farewell, Artie and thank you for your patient and perceptive guidance to a 17-year-old poet. You will not be forgotten.

Clams casino, vodka martini with a twist, pasta carbonara, linen sportcoats, dapper chapeau, crabat now & then, wicked cackling laugh, love for Kathleen & his kids, reading writing debating, organizing unions, ambling about Trastevere & North Beach, declaiming ethics for the common man, my favorite older broni never had.....miss you deeply, Arturo.... keep on truckin´

Dearest Megan & Ben ... Sending you much love and many hugs ...I have fond and vivid memories of your dad and my sister Margy clearing all the furniture out of the way so they could swing and pirouette wildly across the living room floor at the annual holiday get-togethers at the old family Victorian on Belvedere St.

He will be greatly missed.

A friend generous without limits!
