Read MoreI was a junior colleague of Dr. Billings at Michael Reese from 1978 until 1982. He provided care to our family during this time. He was a scholar, a gentleman in the finest sense and a devoted physician. To his family, I am very grateful. I had the great pleasure as did my wife Carolyn to know my neighbor Dr/ Arthur Billings who always looked dapper, a wry smile for me on his face as we gently sparred giving one another a laugh on the road of our daily lives and often on his walks with Helaine , a pleasant surprise , regularly. and we enjoyed his company at dinner not often enough , but special when it occurred. His dry humor and wit is missed til this day in our home. He left a family who loved him , including the friends...
