Not sure what to say?

I was one of Mr. Cobb's first secretaries when he joined the law firm of J. D. DeBlieux in Baton Rouge. This was in early 1956. He was such fun and such a brilliant man. I was so happy that he became so successful in his law practice. I am shocked to just learn that he passed away in 2006. At Christmas of 2008 I took a picture of his house on the hill.
He is someone I will always remember with great kindness. My very delayed sympathy to his family.

Paula,

I had a just returned from a visit with Jeannette in Georgia when my husband told me about Mr. Cobb's death. It was sad news indeed.

Working for Mr. Cobb for all those years left me with a lot of fond memories, one of which was the day all the office staff got together at your house and made crawfish bisque. It was such fun.

I also have a great photograph of the two of you walking toward me at my wedding in St. Gabriel, which adds to the good...

To Paula and all the Cobb family,

I'm so sorry to hear of Arthur's passing. When I look back over
my childhood, so many of my fondest memories revolve around the
times our famlies spent together - camping, motorcycling, and
just hanging out. At the center of those memories is Arthur -
his warmth, humor, generosity, and very evident love of his
friends and family. I hope that in this difficult time its some
comfort to recall how many lives he's touched so...

Dear Paula and family,

Nancy and I just learned of arthur's death today. I want to share with you how important he and all of you were to us. We cherish so many wonderful experiences. For example, his memory for peoples' birthdays, his devotion to his family, his brilliant intelligence, his joy in the practice of law, his generosity, and his exuberant sense of humour (eg:"the Ya Ya Club")

He was a wonderful man and the world is richer for his having been a part of...

I haven't seen you, Jeff and Matt, since West Side Academy. Sorry to hear about your dad. I knew him only briefly but could tell he had to be a great dad.

Dear Aunt Paula and Cobb Cousins,
I was so saddened to hear about Uncle AJ and am sorry I was not able to be with the family today. I will always have a special place in my heart for Uncle AJ in part, because he has such a profound place in the heart of my father. Dad always talks about his big brother with love, admiration, awe and respect. Dad never failed to attribute his success in life to Uncle AJ’s unwavering belief and support in him to become the best person he could. Uncle AJ...

Paula, I was so very sorry to hear about Arthur. You may not remember me. I was Judge Pugh's clerk in Family Court. Arthur was always one of my favorites. He seemed always to bring a fresh and innovative approach to legal issues. We didn't see him often in Family Court, but it was always fun when we did.

Paula,
While at the courthouse this morning I found out about Arthur. You have my deepest sympathy for your loss. I will always remember Arthur, especially when I was a new lawyer and he was very considerate as I clumsily deposed his client. Our profession needs more Arthurs. Please call me when you get a chance. Take care and God bless you and your family.

Paula,
We were so sorry to hear about Uncle AJ. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours during this difficult time. We have many fond memories of Uncle AJ.
