RICHFORD - Arthur Paul Cummings, age 54, passed away Tuesday morning April 15, 2003 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
He was born April 29, 1948 inSt. Albans the son of Germaine (Mayhew) Cummings and the late Melzer Cummings.
Art was a graduate of Saint Joseph Catholic School in North Adams, MA. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years on the USS Forrestall Air Craft Carrier. He moved to Richford in 1976 and worked for 12 years at the family store in Richford. He also worked at Blue Seal from 1989 to 2000, he volunteered on the Richford Ambulance Service for many years and was a life member of the American Legion Post #12 of Richford, and a member of All Saints Catholic Church. Art was a life long racing fan and never missed a race.
He is survived by his mother Germaine Cummings of Richford; his brothers, Larry Cummings and his wife, Margie of Montgomery Center, Herbert Cummings and his wife Toni of Griswold, CT, and Brian Cummings and his fiance, Robin Belanger of Westford; several nieces and nephews, Aaron Cummings, Amy Greenia and her husband Ronald, Jill Cummings and her companion Jonathan Betts, Chris Cummings and his wife Jessica, Jennifer Cummings, Angela Cummings, Anthony Cummings, Brian Cox; several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Melzer Cummings in 1982.
Funeral services will be held Monday April 21, 2003 at 11:00 at All Saints Catholic Church in Richford with Rev. Frank Eksterowicz celebrating the mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday afternoon from 5-8 at the Spears Funeral Home, 140 Main St. , Richford.

Germaine, When I think of Art , I always remember the good times we had at all the TOPS events we went to and how much fun he was. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
