Not sure what to say?

Dear Shirley and Family,
I am sorry for your loss and felt it deeply. I have admired you and Art throughout my life. Your strength as individuals and as a couple was always evident. I lost one of my daughters nearly a year ago to Leukemia, so I know all too well how brief but intense the battle was. More importantly, as believers we know the separation that we now suffer is temporary. So, while we sorrow for the loss of the physical presence of our darlings, the spiritual connection...

May it ease your sorrow to know that others care and send heartfelt sympathy.

We send our sympathies, and keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Peace be with you.

To Art's family and Children:
I worked with Art many years ago at the South Lansing School for Girls, near Ithaca. There was no finer man than your husband/father. Art was handsome, kind, direct, gentle, caring, full of laughter and good will. Most of all he had a huge heart. We all knew we could count on Art to help, to listen, to understand. I am SO happy to know he carried his gifts back home to Alabama and spread them wide in his gracious ministry. The world had a fierce...

Dear Shirley,

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of your dear husband. You always spoke so fondly of him. May your dearest memories bring you peace at this time.

With sympathy and friendship,

Shirley - I am saddened to hear of your husband's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Shirley, Sending you my deepest sympathy -- my heart goes out to you. Art was an AMAZING man who we all loved. His kindness touched everyone he met and left us feeling truly blessed for knowing him. I will miss the smell of his great cologne, his big smile and those great, comforting hugs. None of us will ever forget him, and it breaks my heart that you have to go through this. You are, and will continue to be, in my thoughts.

I played many enjoyable rounds of golf with Art as a partner. The golfers at Newman Golf Course in Ithaca were saddened by the news of his death. Condolences to his family.

My dear Shirley. It was with a sad heart that I send you this condolence. We can rejoice that we know that Art knew the Lord and is now with Him. You were a good and faithful wife and I know that was of a great comfort to him. You are in my prayers. Lovingly, your friend. Ann
