Not sure what to say?

A great teacher. Coach and husband.

I had the privilege of being a student at Elder high school with Art as my history teacher. He was also one of my basketball coaches and helped lead our team to the first undefeated season in Elder history. Our class of 1961 made him an honorary member and he attended many of our events. The best of the best!

What I remember of Mr. Del Conte as a history teacher was that he was a pleasant change of pace from all the Padres who attempted to further our education. Richard Jones class of 1961.

Kris, sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. My deepest condolences to you and your family. Hugs snd prayers!

Sometimes God takes the best from this world to be with him. Art enjoy your new life.
Steiny------------------Good Friend

Art was a great handicapper and enjoyed many of the Class of 1961 track outings. There was one special day at River Downs that he picked the winning horse from the racing form which had a good price and of course was #5. He picked this horse from the racing form data at Belmont Park and not River Downs. Don't know if #5 won at Belmont but he won at River Downs.

Arty will be missed by so many. He was a great guy, I’m so glad I got to get to know him over the last decade. He was so nice and spent a lot of time with my son PJ and was so proud of him when he joined the marines. They talked often. He also called Paul and my brother everyday during their battles with cancer. Hugs and prayers to all the lives that this great touched.
