Arthur M. "Mike" Donnelly, 74, a 37-year resident of Irving, Texas, and the Chairman of Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, has passed away.

Mr. Donnelly was born on July 31, 1925 in Dallas, Texas. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific.

Mr. Donnelly founded Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home in 1963. During his career, he served on the Boards of the Mercantile Securities Ins. Co., the Midway National Bank, the American Bank of Arlington, the Irving Chamber of Commerce, Irving YMCA, and Irving Rotary Club. He also served as a Vestry member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Ellen Donnelly; sons, A.M. Donnelly Jr. of Irving, and Robert P. Donnelly of Denton, Texas; daughter, Diane MacClure of Irving; brother, F.E. Donnelly Jr. of Austin, Texas; sister, Pat Clayton of Lake Whitney, Texas; grandchildren, John M. Donnelly of Louisiana, Sydney MacClure of Virginia, and Robert S. Donnelly of Denton; and one great-granddaughter, Savannah Donnelly of Louisiana.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 2, 2000, 11 a.m., at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 120 East Rochelle, Irving, officiated by the Rev. Mark Story. Interment will follow at Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington, Texas. In lieu of usual remembrances, memorial contributions are appreciated to the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 2700 Warren Circle, Irving, TX 75062-5755. Arrangements entrusted to Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, Irving.
