I was privileged to play golf with Arthur during the last year or two. In group outings, I always sought him out as a riding cart partner. He was an interesting and humble gentleman. I am so glad I got to know him. As I read his obituary, I remarked to myself (as I have on reading many obituaries), "I wish I had known that about him."

I have been deeply saddened by the loss of this most humble and quiet man. I had visited with him a few days before Christmas. Arthur was always generous with hugs of support and kindness. Our friendship grew because we sat behind him at church. He always asked about my daughter and her children whenever I saw him. We all loved him. He has been to my home many times to watch sporting events, share support for my husband, and be a very good friend to my family. Your family has my deepest...

To the family of Dr. Arthur Ford, Jr., Dr. Ford was a bright spot in a lot of lives here at MTSU. This really saddens me to hear the passing of Dr. Ford. There was not a day that went by without seeing his smile and hearing him laugh. His outlook on life will always be precious to me!

To the family, stay strong and in Gods love and know that he is in his place in heaven and in no more pain and suffering. Dr. Ford will be watching over his family and friends from up high, where...

My deepest condolences. He was such a great person and I feel lucky to have had opportunities to talk to him almost every Sunday at St. Mark's UMC for the last 7 years. I will miss seeing him.

Sorry for your loss. Please to have known him.

Dr. Arthur Ford had a kindness, understanding, and dignity about him that cast of sense of peace and calm over those lucky enough to share a few words with him here and there. I appreciated his kindness to me when we met at church.

Sorry for your lose.
