Arthur D. "Pete" Frey

Arthur D. Frey, Jr., 96, formerly of Pen Argyl, PA passed away Friday, July 1st, at Brookmont Health Care Center, Effort, PA.

Pete was born in Allentown, PA on June 22, 1920, a son of the late Effie (Biery) Frey and Arthur D. Frey, Sr.

He was the widower of Doris (Rogers) Frey, who passed away in 2013. Pete was employed as a custodian for the Pen Argyl School District in Pen Argyl, PA, until retiring. Prior to that, Pete was employed for the former Collins and Aikman in Pen Argyl, for 36 years. Pete served in the U.S. Army as a Sgt. in WW II.

He was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church in Pen Argyl, PA. Pete was also member of the Charles Nelson Lobb American Legion Post 502 in Pen Argyl.

Pete is survived by two sons, James Frey and his wife Karen, of Pen Argyl, PA, and Gregory Frey and his wife Laurie, of Saylorsburg, PA; a brother, Truman Frey, of Wind Gap, PA; 3 granddaughters, Megan, Mackenzie and Stephanie, and 3 great grandchildren Jake, George, and Alexandrea. He was preceded in death by four sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on July 7th, in Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, Pen Argyl, PA, Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.
