Not sure what to say?

8 years since his passing. Still hard to accept. Art Glatfelter was a true mentor to me and many others. He just seemed to be indestructable. Just proves none of us are, when the very best aren't. Truly a vacancy not entirely accepted yet. I would have loved to work beside him on the Glattfelder Board. Dean Gladfelter

We are truly saddened to hear of your loss.

Art will always be a part of the Briel family. He and my Dad, Frank, were very close and would always be communicating and finding time to be together. My Mom and Dad, the entire Briel family, mourn the loss of a great family friend and a great pillar and philanthropist of the York community. God bless Art. Guessing my Dad was there to welcome him in heaven.

His family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Mr. Glatfelter was a wonderful gentleman of great vision and insight. His generosity was unparalleled. It was a privilege to have known him.

How difficult to find the words to convey ones feelings. A tremendous loss to many, not just in York County and PA, but all who knew him across this great country. As a Glatfelter family member it was a shock to lose two great men of the family this week. Art was a true & dear friend, respected by everyone. He came to our farm when I was about 12 years old, and sold me my 1st life insurance policy. When I left York for college, Art invited me to call whenever I got back in town. I did...

Art was someone I knew from childhood. He was always respected by my father and family as he listened to, and really cared for others. Though larger then life in so many ways he never lost his love for York County. He will never be forgotten. Art, Vicki and all your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Mr Glatfelter will be missed tremendously. He virtually pioneered the insurance industry here in York County and employed and helped thousands of individuals in his lifetime. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
