Not sure what to say?

Art was a friend and climbing partner in 1972 . A good person all around, a good family I got to spend a few months with on my life´s journey.

Art was a true renaissance man whose intelligence and competence continually amazed me. He was a good son and brother to his loving family and a friend to everyone he met. I am so sorry for your loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. I fondly remember Art. We went through Jr. High, High School, and college together. Although I hadn't seen him in years, I was lucky enough to see him and Carol at the last high school reunion in 2003. He seemed so content at the time. I extend to Carol and the Greslin family my very deepest sympathy. May he rest in peace.

Art moved to Lake Bluff, Illinois, I believe from Cincinnati, during the mid 1960s, and we met in school there. We became friends during those years, part of a larger group of guys negotiating life through the interesting and challenging times of adolescence, during the interesting and challenging times of the mid-to-late 1960s. He brought a different and larger perspective to things, a fresh view of life in our town with his previous experiences in other places. Art’s his native curiosity...

I did not know Art, but the account of his life was so rich and beautifully written, I wish we had crossed paths. My still active, fascinating, 93-year-old mother made her transition beyond the body on Feb. 29. As we continue to celebrate her life and the positive impact she had on so many, I am struck by the image of her and Art meeting in that realm they've moved on to and learning a lot from each other. My heart goes out to you as you grieve for your mate, your friend and family member.

I was shocked to hear of Art's passing. My deepest sympathies to his loved ones. I worked in biotech with Art for 8(?) years. My lab bench was near his, we shared space in the cubicle maze. Art was a great guy full of great stories. When I moved into my new house, he had me come over to his garden and gave me all kinds of plants and extra rocks from his yard. Art's asters did so well, we have since passed them on to our neighbors. Now every fall, when I see the purple asters blooming...

I am deeply saddened to hear of Art's sudden passing. I am a volunteer w/ OSMP & met Art in that capacity. His warmth & energy were magnetic & the little contact we had made we want to get to know him more. In fact we made plans at the annual OSMP meeting last month to hike together this summer so he could share his knowledge of the area w/ me. I can only but imagine the enormity of this loss for his family and friends, & my heart reaches out to all of you. His passing leaves a hole that...
