I was a student with two of Mr. Haight's classes at Wilson. He was my teacher in Algebra and a speech seminar. It was during the speech seminar that someone came in to announce that JFK had been shot in Texas. Mr. Haight set up a radio so we could listen to the reports from Dallas. Then we heard the announcement that JFK was dead. In 1976 we purchased our home on Haight Avenue, just three blocks from Jefferson High School. We still live on Haight Avenue.
