Not sure what to say?

Still miss seeing you bud!

I just saw this after all these years. Mrs Hawthorne I hope you get to read this. I would like to talk to you about our relationship in the 82d Airborne. He was a very close friend and I was his Operations NCO when he was CO for HHC, 3/325. My # is 815.762.0903. Of all the people I could haven chosen to pin my Master Parachutist Wings, I chose Art. I often think of that big smile. Sorry for being so late.

i constantly think about you and it hurts that i can't find a memory but i was so young. I never would have thought i would find this almost a decade later but i'm glad my thinking helps. We all thank you for what you have achieved.

I don't care if it's late, after all this time I still miss you. We worked together for a couple of years in Saudi land, with him as my boss. I'll never forget his laugh and infectious smile. We got into some great mischief/fun and some great memories only he and I can share. We had the military in common as well and we both reflected upon it often when we were together. In summary, he was one of my best friends and I miss him profoundly-he was truly a great soul...

To Sonja, Cynthia, Schatzi,Olivia and the family, I'm sorry to hear of your loss (husband, father, grandfather, family member and friend). It was an honor for me to have met Arthur Earl Hawthorne. Please know that I pray for you to experience God's comforting ministry during this season of grief. He is the God of all comfort.

I feel proud to have known a man of Art's character and courage. Thanks to Art and his family our country is a better place to live.

Art, I'm so glad to have known someone so noble and caring. You were great person and you will be greatly missed. Thank you for all you have done for me, my family, and our country.

Sonja, my condolences to you and your family. John (Moore) will greatly miss his friend Art. Because of Art, John IV was born July 6 not the 4th because Art wouldn't let me go out on the boat that weekend. What a geat party that year. Many thanks for his years of service, and he will be greatly missed by all. Wishing you and your family strength, peace, and comfort in your time of need. God bless......Kim and John(ny) Moore IV

Hex was always a gentle man with a friendly smile for all. I looked forward to seeing him when I worked there. He will be missed...a lot.
