Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathies to the family. I have not met or even interacted with Art but have recently acquired his "The Challenge of a Pro" album and because I like to know about the musicians/speakers/comedians/actors of the albums I own I did my research...what an amazing man! At my place of business I display weekly a 6 piece collection of album covers and because the first OSU BUCKEYE game is this Saturday I am hanging sports themed covers...Art Holst has made my wall! As a young man growing up in Peoria I was lucky enough to grow up with 2 of Art's daughters and thus got to spend time around Art. He always had a quick wit and was an excellent role model for kids crazy about sports. One year we received tickets to a St. Louis Cardinal football game and a tip of Art's hat at the end of the 3rd quarter. I received an autographed book when he finished it. Art packed a great deal into life. Those who were lucky enough to cross his path would never forget Art or...

my prayers and condolences for Mr. Holst's family - I met Mr. Holst many years ago when my father worked with him at Forest Park Foundation, and I attended Richwoods Community High School with his son, Jeff ... as his Obituary indicates, he was an exceptional and highly talented man ... moreover, he was a very warm and genuine man, there aren't many like him, he will be missed, God bless

Art was a dear friend who appeared many times on my morning radio show over the years. He loved and served his country as an Army Captain during WW II and was one of the country's best motivational speakers. He was an outstanding story-teller and had a wonderful sense of humor beloved by thousands. Art loved God and his wife and friends and wasn't afraid to tell others of his faith. He will be missed.

Condolences to the Holst Family on Art's passing. He certainly led a full, interesting and positive life and will be missed.

Art was a GIANT...there will never be one like him ever again according to Father Time. What a life.
