KALLMAN,
Arthur Sheldon "Shelly"
Arthur Sheldon "Shelly" Kallman passed away in Georgetown, Texas on August 30, 2016. Shelly is predeceased by wife of 62 years, Janice, and his son Glen Kallman.

Devoted father to his sons Glen, Ronnie and his wife Judy, and Steve Kallman and his wife Kris. Lovingly remembered as "Paw Paw" to his 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was very proud to have proliferated the Kallman family in Texas.

He graduated from High School in Almira and attended Washington State University before being called into military duty as aviation cadet and instructor during World War II. He served in the Army Air Corps at Randolph Field in San Antonio where he met the love of his life, Janice. They married in 1944.

Shelly was the owner of Kallman Restaurant Supply Co. in Austin, Texas and he continued working in the industry until his retirement in 2006 at the age of 83.

Ronnie & Steven, I just found Uncle Shelly's obituary. I am so sorry, though I had suspected it for awhile now. Your mom kept in touch with us until her passing, which of course upset Linda and I very much.
Then your dad started sending the Christmas Cards. We enjoyed them until I think 2013. After Mom died we didn't hear much, I believe he was trying to send her some money to help her out. Of course she was so stubborn, I don't think she would accept the help. I know she wouldn't take it from us, and always seemed to have some in reserve.
Anyway I just want you to know that I still think often of Shelly and remember the Summer I spent with them so well and hate that we couldn't have been closer.
I spent most of my life in Indiana, but Linda and I have recently been spending most of our time in Brinnon, WA, which I fell in love with after I was reunited with my father in 1987.
I hope that you and the sizable klan that Shelly left behind are all doing well and have wonderful lives!
Love to you all,
Ron & Linda Butler -- [email protected]

RonnieSorry to hear of your dads passing. Your family has had a big impact on the food service business over the last 40 years that I have been around. All the way back to the Pelican Wharf/Shenanigan days of the mid seventies. A legacy to be proud of. I hope you and yours are well.Bick Brown

Janice, I don't know if you will remember me or not but my name is Sheila Perry. Randy, my husband, and I lived in Onion Creek during the time that you and Shelly were there. Our children were very small and we would meet a lot of time on the golf course. We felt that was the most appropriate time to have small children on the course.

I have thought of you and Shelly many times over the years and wondered where you were living. I was so sad to hear of Shelly's death and most upset I did not reach out to you during the past several years.

Please know that you and your family are in our prayers and hope that the pain of loosing Shelly will become less every day.

Our best to you and your family during this most difficult time.
