In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

I had been friends with AJ in college. He was always a very warm person and always made me laugh. I just found out now in Febuary when I opened up the Stonehill Alumni Magazine about his passing.I was very saddened by this news. I wish you, his wife Beth, all the strength in the world and hope that the amazing memories you had together will be the "hope" for a bright future. I am sure AJ would want that for you....if I remember AJ correctly...My thoughts and prayers are with you. Lisa B-

To The Kirwan Family:

I hadn't see AJ in many years, but he is someone who I will always remember. We knew each other through his sister, Susan, my sister-in-law. What I remember most about AJ was his smile and his generous giving heart. May God bless him and his family.

Dear Beth,
I am a friend of Joel, Alexia and James, and met you and AJ several times. I know that AJ was a very kind and special person. Please know that you have my sincerest condolences and you and AJ are both in my prayers.

Dear Beth and family:

As I read each person's thoughts and feelings about AJ, I picture him with that big smile. His smile was the biggest when he spoke about you Beth. All of us who knew and loved AJ know we were touched by someone very special. Thank you for sharing AJ with us--we will miss him...
With deepest sympathy,
Diane Gillis

A.J's kind heart and all consuming smile will remain with me forever. A.J you have left a foot print on many peoples heart and will be remembered forever.

A.J. and Beth at Hotel Commonwealth when A.J. was presented with the BCBSMA Volunteer Service Award (May, 2004). What a lovely couple.

Beth, we are so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Our thought and prayers go out for Beth and AJ's family. AJ was a great man with a kind heart. He will be missed.
