To the entire Knapp Family,

My most sincere condolences for your loss...Arthur was a very special and kind man. He was missed on Pinevale after your move. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

My deepest condolences to the all of the Knapp family. I have very fond memories of Arthur and the entire Knapp household on Pinevale.

Our deepest sympathy to Lorna and the entire Knapp family. We'd like to share this poem by Mary E. Frye, which is public domain.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft...

What could be better than hanging out at the Knapp's house on a warm summer evening waiting for our second or third year of college to start and watch Arthur arm wrestle Steve's buddies. I can still feel his handshake today.

The National World War II Glider Pilots Association, Inc. extends the greatest sympathy to the Arthur Knapp family. Another of our brave and daring brothers has taken his last flight.
