Not sure what to say?

I just heard that Art has gone to our Lady of LaSalette. Fr. John Sullivan my good friend told me during his weekly call. Art was such a wonderful person and I wish we had stayed in touch all these years. He and I were class mates at the LSalette seminary. I have often thought of him since we parted many years ago. I will remember him and his family in my Masses and Prayers. .

Art you were a fried to me and to so many others...a friend like no other....to have memories of you since 2nd year high school is a rare and solemn privilege..how many memories and how many good times were in these many years and yet what is remembered most is your humility, simplicity, positive outlook, love of family, love of Meg, and always loyal to your friends. God put the two of us together again and for a final time just days before you left us. how I cherish that time and will never...

It was a pleasure & gift to have known Art & you all these years. He was an inspiration to us & so many people. May God Bless You & all your family, especially Art on his continued journey.

I just learned of Art's death. He was one of my life's models and leaders. I knew him during all the years at LaSalette and by chance followed him through St. Louis University School of Social Work. I knew him through the Washington University Medical Newman Center. I lost track of him when he left Cardinal Ritter. Thanks Art for your example, love, and compassion to family, friends, strangers, and all His people. May you enjoy life now with Jesus, Monsignor Wilkerson, and my mother who loved...

So sorry for your loss he will be missed by everyone

I just heard of Art's death this morning. I am so sorry. I knew Art from the days when he served as my supervisor at Red Cross. He was the epitome of a kind and gentle man. Once you knew Art, you were blessed with a friend for life. He was such a rare and loving spirit, whose dedication to alleviating human suffering served as an example and inspired those of us who knew him. Rest in peace, Art.

To Meg and family, I was so sad to hear about Art's death. I have known Art since Megan was a baby. Being supervised by Art at Red Cross for many years and knowing what a great mentor he was makes it hard to find words to express my sympathy. Just know Meg that you and your family are in my heart. I will miss Art.

Meg, I'm so very sorry to hear about Art. He had such a sweet spirit, so welcoming and kind - and I've always believed that expressing kindness is why we're here on earth. I know no words can help at this time, but love to you and your family, you are in my heart, thoughts, and prayers.

I knew Art from the old Barnes Newman Center, now gone for over 20 years. With his musical talent, Art helped to foster a wonderful sense of worship at the Sunday morning Mass. My condolences to the family and friends on the loss of Art.
