Not sure what to say?

Gerald, Marcie and family: we just returned from vacation and heard about your dad.... you are in our hearts and prayers. Love,

Gerald and family, I just found out about your dad, and I wanted to send my thoughts and prayers to your family at this time of your loss. I still think of ya'll so often. I did enjoy my time while working for ya'll as your seamstress at Wellworth's plant on Jefferson Ave. Again I send my sympathy and prayers to all.

To the family of M. Arthur Markowitz, I send you my sincere condolences.
I worked at Wellworth Cleaners at the main plant on Jefferson Avenue in 1968-1969 as a sales clerk. It was my first job in the USA . I had just arrive from France. I enjoyed very much working there. Everybody was very nice, the ambiance was very pleasant, the bosses were the best. I learned a lot. I am so very grateful to M. Markowitz for hiring me. Seeing his name in the newspaper brought back many good memories.

Dear Family, Ed and I were on our way to Services at The Hidenwood when we got a call from Toby Morewitz that Arthur had passed away during the night. It was a shock because Arthur had told Toby that he would be attending services on Friday night. We did meet with the women who came to the brief service but it was a sad evening. Our sincere condolences to the family and to the many who will sorely miss him, My deepest sympathy, Belle Olshansky

Arthur was a dear and trusted friend who was not only a friend to others but ran his business in an honest and caring way towards his customers as did his son Gerald when he was given the reigns. Arthur attended B'nai Israel Congregation making sure that services continued so that the population going to the Synagogue would be served in the best way possible and he came to Sabbath Services at The Hidenwood where he recited the prayer over the wine when my Mom and I led services and took part...

To the Markowitz family:

We the Vaughn Chandler family would like to express our heartfelt sympathy in the passing of your loved one. My Mother Ann was the Nurse for Mrs. Markowitz and a good friend to Lou Chernok. Ann passed away on February 18, 2007 at the age of 68. She loved nursing and the care of the elderly and she spoke very highly of your family. may you each be comforted.

Arthur and Lucille were the best neighbors I ever had. It was a sad day when Arthur sold the house on Chesapeake Avenue and moved away.

When my husband had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital, Arthur insisted that he drive me to the hospital. I will never forget his kindness in my hour of need.

We can take comfort in knowing that Arthur and Lucille are now reunited.
