Not sure what to say?

Dear Bettie Jean, I am so sorry for your loss and I know that you loved your husband very much. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Aunt Bettie Jean, Cousin Judy, and Cousin Tres,
We were sorry to hear of Uncle Artie's passing. We have many fond memories of times our families spent together. Many of those memories involve Smith Mountain Lake. I for one shall never forget his wonderful salads that no one has come close to duplicating. We are sorry that as the years have passed, our families have not spent time together. Bob, Mom, and I hope that you find comfort and healing in the memories you have of such a...

Dear Bettie,

We were terribly saddened to hear about Art's passing. I feel privileged to have known him in connection with our work on behalf of the Cadillac-LaSalle Club. Your and Art's energy and efforts were largely responsible for establishing the Hampton Roads Region of our fine club, and it is a tribute to both of you that the Region has grown and flourished. Art's passing was noted at the CLC Board Meeting last week, and all of us who knew him will always remember him fondly....

Bettie and Family,

I met Art when we started the local chapter of the Cadillac club but soon found out that he also was a fan of Studebakers. We also talked several times about Juvenile Detention issues since I was the Va. Beach project manager for building their new detention center. Art was a man of many talents and interests. Just think, now he is where the cars never rust or breakdown and he can drive what he wants and have all the music he wants. Good luck in the coming...

My thoughts and prayers are with you all now. I know Art loved his family with all his being. And he loved his cars. I bet he's driving a Solid Gold Cadillac now. He certainly touched the lives of lots of people, including me. Art was my supervisor for many years at the Court Service Unit and I will miss him.

Dearest Bettie Jean and family,

I'm so sorry about Artie's passing. I remember you fondly from my childhood, and have happy memories of your visits. Mama always thought the world of all of you, and I'm sure she'll be singing up there while Artie plays the drums! Much love to you. Please call me - 722-4342.

Bettie and Family-
Though Art came into our life just a few years ago, we found him to be a unique and special person. Through our mutual admiration for Cadillac/LaSalle automobiles we shared a bond. May you find comfort in knowing he rests in the loving arms of Christ.
In Christ,
Jim and Barbara Stansbury

Bettie and Family -- I worked with Art at the Yorktown Court Services Unit. I loved his sense of humor. New star in heaven to shine upon you.

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.
