Not sure what to say?

What a great fellow! Helped me tremendously at Saint Andrew´s. I had terrible stage fright and he gently helped me through. Always a pleasure to be around and such a good professor with so many creative facets. Condolences to his family and community. Thomas Jones Saint Andrew´s class of 73

I'm another theatre major from St. Andrews, class of '72. Dr. McDonald was a guiding light of my college days, and through the years I've frequently recalled many of the things he said to me: some serious and some whimsical. He used to say he was going to turn Marlowe's The Jew of Malta into a musical called Basically Byzantine. Since I learned of his death, I've been hearing his rendition of the title song over and over in my mind. May Jesus give him rest and glory, and strength and...

Dr Arthur McDonald was a very good person. He genuinely cared about his students. He a wonderful advisor and a very knowledgeable professor.. May his memory be a blessing.

My sincere condolences to Dr McDonald´s family and friends. He was a very special professor and mentor for many at CoC.

Dr. McDonald was my advisor when I attended St. Andrews as a Theatre major, class of `72. He was such a positive influence on me, and I greatly admired his talent, his creativity, and his boundless energy! RIP, Dr. McDonald, you were a great part of my youth.

Dr. McDonald was a true leader at St. Andrews. The theater department helped me decide to attend S.A. and his teaching made me want to stay. He was an excellent professor & understood more about teaching & learning than most professors. If you give students a study guide, that's what you study. I learned as much about teaching from him as I did theater. I appreciate every opportunity he gave me to learn & experience theater. I also appreciate the other life lessons he shared such as always...

Dr Arthur McDonald was an amazing advisor and incredible professor . As a theatre student at College of Charleston and he encouraged me to excel. Many of us were in awe of his ability to help us problem solve. May his memory be a blessing. As for myself, it always will be. He was a very special person.

I was very fortunate that Art McDonald was on the faculty at St. Andrews Presbyterian College when I was a student there. The Theatre Department gave many fine performances during my years 1973-77. My sympathy to his wife and children, two of whom were students at Guilford College where I worked almost my entire career. Of course, we remembered the children as young people on campus.
