Arthur A. McNeill

Eden-Arthur A. McNeill, 76, of Eden, VT, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2019 with his family by his side.

Art was born in Brockton, MA on February 15, 1943, the son of Arlene Gibbs and John McNeill (both predeceased him).

Siblings include: Chickie and wife, Connie; Ted (predeceased) and wife, Joy; Jimmy and wife, Sharon; Danny and wife, Mary; life-long friends: Ned Moran and wife, Marcia and long-time friend of the family, Molly McNeill.

Throughout his life he had owned Art’s Radiator Shop in Stoughton, MA. He then moved to Eden, Vermont in 1987, where he purchased and operated the Eden General Store for 19 years with his wife, Judi.

Art was a jokester, always had people laughing. He would also stop whatever he was doing and help someone in need. He enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, campfires, tinkering on cars and most of all spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Judi; his two sons, Scott and Barry and his wife, Corinne; two step-daughters, Krissy Gagnon and husband, Paul and Jenn Limlaw and husband, Bobby Jr.; grandchildren: Kyle and wife, Brittany; Scott; Emily; Carly; Evan; Kayla and husband, Travis; Bobby III; Cole; Melanie and Dylan; great-grandchildren: Brooklynn, Kenzi, Emerson, Marilyn, Temperance, Kalliope, Sariyah, Morgen and Travie; many cousins, nieces and nephews and great-granddog, Luke.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Copley Hospital for their care and support of Art while he was there.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Eden Central School in Eden, Vermont on February 15, 2020 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. All friends and family are welcome to join us.
