Really sorry to hear of Art's passing. Know Art since his dippy
student days at Imperial College in the 70's. Art was an absolute
delight and, although we met up only occasionally on your trips to the
UK, we shall miss him. Our sympathies and best wishes.

Dear Phoebe:
I was dismayed to see that Art died. Was not aware of his ilness. The last time I saw him was when Bob Muir and I had lunch together - many moons ago. Art reported to me at IBM for quite a while, but our relationship was much more collegial than manager-to-emplyee. I always respected his high intelligence, strong competence, great sense of humor, and his marvelous (but ever cooperative) spirit of independence.
