Arthur A. Metz, of Grand Blanc, age 82, died Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at New Life Christian Fellowship Church, 2237 Reid Road, Grand Blanc, Pastor Terry Bowen officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. Visitation 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mr. Metz will be at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service. Arthur was born in Petersburg, Nebraska on October 23, 1930. He served in the U.S. Army. On June 30, 1950 he married Mary Jane Bohls in Iowa. He enjoyed playing pool and the organ. Mr. Metz retired from Peterbilt Trucking. Surviving are wife, Mary Jane; children, Bonnie and husband Ron Messinger of Fenton and Donna Jean Metz of Clio; grandchildren, Rebecca and husband Casey Anslow of Flint, Scott Messinger of Fenton, Jeffrey and wife Mindy of Texas; brother, Larry and wife Linda Metz of Tennessee; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother, Henry and sister-in-law, Fern. Your condolences may be shared with the family at
