Remembering a special man Arthur Nathan

There was a little Ice cream soda and youth gathering place at the west end of the Rapids Drive shopping center (across from Horlick). It was called the RED DOOR and was operated by Arthur Nathan. It was a great idea but didn't last long. Arthur was a very kind man with the Gotee beard and a french type black Beret back in 1963

I am so sorry to hear the news about my classmate. I will always remember him for his tenacity, interesting thoughts and views, great big smile and the constant twinkle in his eye. We graduated from law school in 1971 and have only had contact a couple of times since and then only at some class reunions but I am sure he served his clients well with vigor, without shyness and with sincere caring.

I am very sad to hear about Mr. Nathan. I was very good friends with his daughter, Anne, whom I have been trying to contact for many years. Hopefully she will see this, and contact me. Sandilane Martin Eichler
