Not sure what to say?

I was heartbroken to hear of this loss. I have always listened to such wonderful tributes and affirmations of Uncle Art that he seemed larger than life, the proverbial football hero. Knowing that he was my Godfather gave me an extra interest in his life story. I was thrilled when I could show him what our high school yearbook pictured and wrote about him during his high school years. This just reaffirmed the amount of souls that he touched in a positive way. God bless, your goddaughter, Debra.

Awesome guy will truly be missed

Dear Joanne and Family...Sorry to hear of Arts passing...our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time...Art will be truly missed by all who were blessed to have known him... Al and Margie Szczepanski

Many BCC students during the mid 70's would agree that Mr. Nixon was the most liked and respected Teacher/Coach/Administrator during our tenure. Words that readily come to mind are dignity, fairness, balance, sensitive, firm, relatable, well rounded, caring. The list could go on and on. What a tremendous role model for us all! Great family, and a life well lived.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Nixon family. I have such wonderful memories of growing up in my old neighborhood on 18th and Hampton and the Nixon family were a big part of those memories. God bless you all.

To the Nixon Family,
So sorry to hear about Mr. Nixon's passing. What fond memories I have of hanging out in the McKinley kitchen and shooting the breeze with Art and Joanne. He was a wonderful guy! My condolences.

Mrs Nixon, Chris, Shawn and the entire Nixon family.

Let the memories of your husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather provide you with comfort and serve as guidance.

Will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Love, Rick & Cheri Miller-Willens
