Not sure what to say?

In my faith tradition, today is the first "yahrzeit" - anniversary of the death - of my dear friend and best boss ever, Art Pardee. I still think of him often - when passing in or around his native New Haven, when thinking of my days at the National Science Foundation, and especially when thinking these days of the basic decency of the American people. Art was the most decent person I have ever known. Zichrono l'vracha - may his memory always be a blessing.

It is with great sadness I say good bye to Mr. Pardee, I can not express my sadness without sharing my love, respect and gratefulness for having known him these many years. Mr. Pardee is the example all men should strive to achieve as a husband, father and man of kindness. I do not have a memory of him without that wonderful smile! No matter the circumstances of life he was always finding joy to encourage others.

Much love,
Tiffany Preston

Kit I'm so sorry for your loss. Your father was such a wonderful, kind man. Our country has lost one of the great men of his generation. Best to you and your family. Love, Karen
