Not sure what to say?

I knew Art, Arthur, from Ben Milam through Lee High. A very nice and funny person to be around. As I read his obituary, it reminded me of how intelligent he was as well. A great list of accomplishments!! My sympathy for a painful loss.

I attended college with Art at McMurry. Way back then we all knew he was a truly special athlete and person. His legacy lives on because of all he accomplished and what he did to always lift up others. Job well done in life sir. My condolences to your family and loved ones. RIP Art Pertiles.

I worked with Art for many years at the City of Waco. He will be missed but his memory will live on in each of us. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Arthur "Pert" Pertile was a great guy and advocate for the less fortunate and young. As a sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin, I had the pleasure of working with Pert during his time as President of the Black Student Alliance (BSA). He always gave good advice, made me laugh as he was jokester and ensured that we were taking care of our academics. His drive, determination and dedication will truly be missed. Rest in Power Art!
