It’s been a very long time since our seeing each other, but I think about the Pitts family from time to time. I am sorry to hear of his passing. I remember him well.

Dear Iris, Keith, and Danny,
I am so sorry to hear of Talmadge’s passing. I was unaware of his illness.
I have many many wonderful memories with your family when I was growing up. I have always loved your family and B and Pearl.
I will come out to visit you in the next weeks. I am sorry that I didn’t know about this in time to come to you at the funeral.
With sincere love,
Sherry Jones Nichols

Talmadge was a Cotton Mill man and a faithful Dragon; it doesn't get any better than that!

Mr. Pitts aka "Pineapple" as he was know by his student on his school bus, worked with my grandfather, O.R. Forsyth in the mill and they both drove school buses together for Pepperell. I always looked forward to him telling us to "have a great day and for us to learn something today". I know he was an inspiration to many students and always had a great attitude and he lead by example. To his family, may God keep you close and comfort you in the days ahead.
